The Hong Kong International Masterclass Series was established by Tim Lowe, Cello Professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, to bring world-class string tuition to Hong Kong for students of all ages.
The series provides a structured programme of tuition, performance preparation, and professional development, supporting students at every stage of their musical journey, from school-level examinations to international auditions and concert performance.
The masterclasses are designed to:
Address both immediate and long-term technical challenges.
Refine repertoire in preparation for concerts, examinations, auditions, and scholarships.
Encourage effective practice strategies and greater interpretative depth.
Support students in developing individuality and confidence in performance.
Two four-day courses led by Professor Tim Lowe, featuring individual masterclasses, group technique sessions, and shared learning through observation.
